Candidates appointed for different SSC CGL posts have different duties and responsibilities. The salary, designation, qualifications, etc. are different also for each post. 

The Staff Selection Commission conducts the SSC CGL exam to recruit candidates into various organizations, departments, offices under the Government of India. It is a national level exam and recruitment to Group B and Group C posts in government departments is done through this exam.

SSC has published the SSC Calendar & revised schedule of all SSC exams to be conducted by SSC during 2020-21. As per the exam calendar & official notification of CGL, the Online Exam for SSC CGL 2021 Tier I exam is scheduled to be conducted from May 29 to June 7, 2021. The exam dates for SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination – 2021 Tier-II (CBE) and Tier-III (Descriptive Paper) will be released soon.

There are three major criteria that a candidate is required to fulfil in order to be eligible for SSC MTS 2021 Exam. Let’s have a look at all these three criteria:

Nationality: A candidate is required to be

• A citizen of India
• Subject of Nepal
• Subject of Bhutan
• Tibetan Refugee

    Person of Indian Origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Afganistan, Kenya, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam.

Age Limit (as on January 01, 2021): The age limits for the posts as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments are:

i) A candidate must be of minimum 18 years of age and must not exceed 25 years of age as on 01.08.2021. (i.e. candidates born not before 02-01-1996 and not later than 01-01-2003)

ii) 18-27 years as on cut-off date (i.e. candidates born not before 02-01-1994 and not later than 01-01-2003).

Apart from the pre mentioned Age Requirement, candidates belonging to reserved categories are given age relaxation as per Government Rules.

The examination of SSC MTS 2021 will be conducted in 3 different levels: Paer-1, Paper-2 (Descriptive Test) & Paper-3 (Skill Test). Paper-1 is an online exam which is objective multiple choice question type. Paper-2 is a pen and paper mode of examination which includes a descriptive paper in English or any other language listed in the government policies. Paper-III is a skill test that needs to be taken as per candidate’s convenience.
